Trick and Treat

Canyon DeChelly by besliter

The trick is to
allow each moment
to treat us to it’s
wonders

So dying
no regrets
we lived all
all that was given.

  1. Lee Ann Austin says

Once I tried to save some carp which had become stranded in a cesspool similar to what is pictured. I carefully reached over the shallow edge to try and drag one to safety. It was huge and flapped its tail, spraying me with the stinking brown water. Mark was watching and laughed his head off at me. There were about 10 or more fish trapped in the pool. If I had it to do all over again, I don’t think I would try to save the carp. I think I would think more about how it would affect me and how the carp could last in the little bit of water. My big heart felt sad after the trick treated me to its wonders. I regretted my choice and learned wisdom for the next time. I did the right thing. Have I lived fully? Have I loved well? That is enough.
